The #NWAChampionship will be held the week of June 19 at Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers. This LPGA Tour Event is a tremendous opportunity for our participants to see golf played at the highest level. We here at The First Tee want to provide as many opportunities for our participants to get involved in this event.  This year, we have some really great opportunities for our participants (and their parents)! Each activity is listed below so please read carefully. For any questions, call Brian Thomas at 479-419-5807.

Pro-Am Caddy Crew

June 21-22

This will be an opportunity for participants 13 and older to get inside the ropes during the LPGA Pro-Ams on Wednesday, June 21 and/or Thursday, June 22. Our caddies will be assigned a Pro-AM group featuring four sponsors and an LPGA professional playing 18 holes. They will be responsible for carrying clubs to and from the players’ carts during the 18-hole round and will be able to ride in the cart from shot to shot. Participants will need a parent assisting them unless over the age of 16.
Our Caddy Crew will receive a golf shirt for their participation and parents/volunteers will receive a parking pass. Lunch and drinks will be provided. This is an excellent way for our participants to experience the tournament up close AND earn valuable certification volunteer hours.
Brian will confirm your times once we get closer to tournament week and will also include logistical information such as lunch tickets, parking passes and participant check in at Pinnacle. The First Tee will assign the participant a tee time closer to the tournament and the participant will need to be at Pinnacle 30 minutes prior to that tee time. Minimum time on the course will be 5 hours.

Junior Golf Clinic

Sponsored by Dove

Thursday, June 22

For our participants 7-11 years old: Join the LPGA golf professionals for a special (AND FREE) Junior Golf Clinic. Participants are not required to bring their clubs. If they decide to bring clubs, they will be responsible for them the rest of the day. Parents are encouraged to stay and watch the clinic. Once the clinic is over, all participants are invited to attend the hospitality tent to watch players come in from the course. Parking passes provided.
Brian will confirm clinic details once we get closer to tournament week and will also include logistical information such as parking passes and participant check in at Pinnacle.

LPGA Jr. Course Reporters

Kids Zone Volunteers

Each year we are asked to help supervise the hitting net at the Kids Zone just opposite the 16th green and 17th tee during the #NWAChampionship. It’s a great opportunity to help a wonderful event AND see the golf tournament for FREE. We need volunteers, parents and participants willing to take on a two hour shift one day of the tournament (or more days if you like).
Brian will confirm your times once we get closer to tournament week and will also include logistical information such as lunch tickets, parking passes, admission passes and volunteer check in at Pinnacle.
