GIRLS ON COURSE

A program for GIRLS ONLY, ages 11-18

We are excited to announce our new GIRLS ON COURSE GOLF PROGRAM that will teach girls more than just golf. Our Girls On Course Program is designed to:

1) help girls discover their full potential for having success
2) live a confident healthy and active lifestyle
3) provide social opportunities, and meet lifelong friends.

To join the Girls On Course program, please register for the GIRLS ON COURSE program for $35 (which includes your The First Tee Annual Registration) via THIS LINK. The GIRLS ON COURSE program offers the girls (ages 11 to 18) all of the benefits of joining The First Tee of NWA including the ability to register (an additional registration fee will be required) for GIRLS ONLY classes and our competitive golf programs (POWERADE League Play and the DASANI Summer Golf Tour).

In addition, and especially, the GIRLS ON COURSE program will offer three special events this summer in May, June and August. The events (described below) will each cost $5 and registration for these events will open on our website one month prior to each event. An April GIRLS ON COURSE kick-off event has been coordinated through area schools, which include: Bentonville HS, Fayetteville HS, Rogers HS, Rogers Heritage HS, Pea Ridge HS and George Junior High. If your school is not included on this list call Coach Megan at 479-419-5807.

GIRLS ON COURSE MEMBERS MAY BECOME INVOLVED IN AS MANY, OR AS FEW, ACTIVITIES AS THEIR CALENDARS ALLOW.

August 27- PARTEE WITH U OF A WOMEN’S GOLF TEAM

Meet college golfers while receiving golf tips on driving range, putting green, short game center. The UA players will also give out autographs and pictures.

GIRLS ONLY CLASSES

GIRLS ONLY classes will be offered in each our seven The First Tee monthly sessions. Each session will include four, two hour classes.
– Girls Only Classes are offered Tuesday night
– Classes are available from April through October
– $25.00 per session

LPGA COURSE REPORTER OPPORTUNITY

– Walk Pinnacle Country Club during the Wal-Mart Northwest Arkansas Championship in June with Coach Megan. Meet with the media crew, club repair personnel’s, weather crew, LPGA tournament director, rules officials, watch exclusive TV interviews featuring LPGA players, take pictures and receive signage from LPGA players, and walk the course with LPGA Stars.
– Participants will be required to write a blog about their experiences at the LPGA, as well as act in live tweeting throughout the course reporting experience.

DASANI SUMMER GOLF TOUR

– Competitive 9 Hole Tournament every Friday throughout the summer.
– Girls Division (if registration allows)
– At each 9-Hole Tournament, prizes will be given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place
– The last event, the over-all champion and runner-up will be named, for each age division based on a cumulative points earned in the six events played.

POWERADE LEAGUE PLAY

– Three six week seasons are scheduled through the golf season – spring, summer and fall
– Girls Division (if registration allows)
– The program meets once a week for practice sessions at the Lowell facility and once a week to play a match at a local golf course
– Spring and fall the program meets in the evenings. The Summer program meets during the day.

April 5- TEE UP YOUR FUTURE; AN EXPO FOR YOUNG WOMEN
Learn the stories of success and achievement from an assortment of women executives throughout multiple industries in the NWA region and also hear from LPGA stars Natalie Gulbis and Morgan Pressel. These empowering women will teach young women how to be successful in the future by learning The First Tee Nine Core Values.

LPGA Special Guests: Natalie Gulbis and Morgan Pressel

May 27 Girls On Course Glow in the Dark Tournament

We had 25 girls attend our first ever, Glow In The Dark Tournament, on Friday May 27. Inaddition to playing golf in the dark, the girls enjoyed a cook-out, their very own Drive, Chip and Putt contest and a Build Your Own Sundae bar. A good time was had by all.
